I couldn’t be more pleased with the level of care at Gateway Dental Practice. From the moment you walk into the dental office and are greeted by the friendly receptionist, you know you’re in good hands. The dental hygienists are very thorough, informative and gentle with the cleanings. They assess your overall health to gain a better understanding of dental issues. When my appointments are with Dr. Pallencaoe, she takes time to sit down, explain the procedure and answer any questions I may have. The dental assistants are right there making sure you’re comfortable throughout the entire treatment. All of the staff are so thoughtful and knowledgeable. I always know I’m getting the absolute best dental care in the most pleasant atmosphere possible.

I went to Gateway to get my teeth cleaned. After taking my blood pressure, my dentist saw it was high and recommended a local doctor to see. This was important because I am new to the Paso area and I did not have a doctor. It is difficult to get a specialist these days. I was very pleased with her dental work and how much she genuinely cared about ME.

I was so impressed during my first visit with Dr. Pallencaoe in October. In all the years I have been going to dentists (I am soon 94 years old), I have never had such fine treatment and painless. Their consideration for my comfort during the appointment was outstanding so I would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

My wife and I have experienced a wonderful relationship with Dr. Pallencaoe and the staff at Gateway for several years. We are always impressed with their professionalism, timeliness, communication, and genuine concern for our comfort and dental health. We are treated like friends as well as patients. Outstanding! First, I appreciated the 30 minute reminder before my appointment. I knew I had the appointment, but it got me speedily ready. The office staff also helped me with paperwork showing I had received a refund from my last visit, which I had not seen that we received. I also had my teeth cleaned, and it was nice to hear that she said I’m doing a good job with my flossing and brushing. It’s always a nice and helpful office staff.

I walk in feeling like a human disaster with a questionable flossing record and leave feeling like a pearly white, tooth model. The experience is always top-notch: ✔️ Pain-free dentistry – I barely noticed the drilling over the soothing sound of my own panic. ✔️ First-class entertainment – Nothing like being asked life’s hardest questions while your mouth is numb and wide open. ✔️ Judgment-free zone – Even when I try to convince them my “flossing once a week” habit is acceptable. They have the patience of saints, and the ability to decode muffled “uh-huhs” during a cleaning like no other. 10/10 will return again.

Dr. Wood made the experience as comfortable as possible. He would explain each step in the process and would check in with me to make sure sure I was comfortable.

Always a good experience. Everyone there is patient with me, and I trust them. Today Gina did a cleaning. Real good. Monday I have to go in for a couple more serious procedures. I will be there for two sessions of 2-3 hours each am/pm. Before I started with Gateway a few years back, I avoided the dentist - The fear bourne of ignorance. My experience with Dr. Jake and Shawna justified my looking forward to the visit to receive a crown on a broken tooth. The couple of hours spent was beyond satisfactory. Thank you and the rest of the office staff for an excellent trip to the dentist!

From check in to procedure - all friendly, professional, and easy going. Was asked multiple times if I was comfortable and offered a neck pillow or blanket. The dentist was enjoyable, and informative. I have to say, the least painful injections I’ve ever had. The equipment is extremely new and I had my crown in 20 min . I’m sticking with this office!!

I also like the way the Doctor and his Staff explain everything in detail. They help me make educated decisions and provide any support I need when dealing with dental issues. I've been with Dr Palencoe for 15 years and she is outstanding. Her work is always gently and beautifully done. Her small hands are another perk. Gina, one of the hygienists is also wonderful. I wouldn't go to any other dentist.

Dr. Woods and his staff (as a whole) from the front desk to the exam rooms are all so welcoming. They really take time to get to know you individually! I think of them as the “Olive Garden of dentistry”! When you’re there, you don’t feel like a paycheck, but like family… Strike that, they make you feel better than family!
